Alumni & Brotherhood Homepage
Dear Brothers,
As you all well know, our Chapter House, located in the heart of campus, is the centerpiece of our fraternity and Penn as a whole. It brings and binds together active brothers who have the privelige of living in it, other brothers and rushes who enjoy its perks, generation after generation of students attending our events, and Kappa Sigma alumni who will always have a second home at 3706 Locust Walk.
The importance of our Chapter House in the prosperity and continuation of our fraternity cannot be overstated.
That being said, decades of wear and tear have had an overwhelming effect on the state of our home. Furniture is on its last leg (literally), spaces have become empty and unused, maintenance equipment lost or stolen, unorganized storage rooms, composites broken, awards tucked away, and so much more.
Unfortunately, we hardly scrape by with our current budget, focusing on events, rushing, and other expenses, leaving us with no room to care for our home. Only through the generous support from our older brothers may we seek to restore and embellish our Chapter House to its full glory.
In 2024 and the near future, it is our utmost priority to see this goal through.
Dear Alumni and Brothers of the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity,
I am excited to write to you all as we round out the 2024-2025 academic year at the University of Pennsylvania!
First, I want to thank our alumni for visiting 3706 Locust Walk last fall for the University of Pennsylvania’s Annual Homecoming Weekend on Saturday November 16th. It was truly great for us to see you all and I appreciate it for making the time to come visit us in Philadelphia.
We look forward to opening our doors to you all again on Saturday, April 19th for our Spring Open House and Alumni Weekend. Remember, our doors are always open, and you are welcome to visit anytime you feel the urge to reconnect with your alma mater and the community.
With March nearing its end, the upcoming warm weather offers the perfect reason to revisit Philadelphia. Please save the date and plan to reconnect with the city and the University of Pennsylvania, while also meeting the current Brothers. This trip promises a wonderful opportunity to experience the renewed energy of spring in Philly.
I am immensely proud to welcome our newest 12 pledges to our chapter. These exceptional young men are a strong representation of our future and embody the qualities and values we hold dear. I believe they each bring unique strengths and perspectives that will significantly contribute to the vitality and continued success of our brotherhood. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity assure me that they have bright futures ahead. I am confident that they will uphold and advance the legacy of excellence that defines our chapter.
We have made significant strides in enhancing every area of our chapter house, thanks to the generous contributions from our alumni. Your support has catalyzed remarkable improvements, and we are excited about the plans we have to further enrich our environment. These enhancements not only strengthen our brotherhood but also ensure our house remains a welcoming space for all. With a shared vision, we look forward to seeing these plans come to fruition, embodying the spirit and values that define us.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the Alpha Epsilon Chapter. For those who have donated, you help maintain the state of our Chapter House year after year. If you choose to contribute, our Alumni Chair, Charles Jarvis (CAS ‘26), has provided details below on how your donations can greatly benefit the Chapter.
If you have any questions on the current state of the chapter or would simply like to reconnect, feel free to reach out to my email at [email protected]. We are excited to see you all on April 19th! Don’t be a stranger and feel free to stop by at any time. We’re always here to welcome you back!
AEKDB,
Grand Master Logan Popovich
